Finding Resources on Current Events/News Topics

Because of the time required to publish information, many of your typical academic information sources (books and scholarly articles) may not contain information on current news or event topics. 

Instead, you will want to look for resources that have a shorter publishing time like newspapers, weekly magazines, or websites, that will help you gather information about a recent event. See the Basic Information Cycle guide for more information on how information is created.
