We have a new display aptly titled "New Books." It's housed on the same row of shelves as the Staff Picks, Browsing books, and Grab n Go (for holds and interlibrary loans). "New Books" is just that: new items that we thought would be of interest to our patrons. We've included new faculty publications and a whirlwind of great reads from all classifications A-Z. Fiction readers will want to peruse the "P" and "JUV LIT" sections.
Below are just some of the great offerings on the shelves.
note: Follow the title links to get a full description or to the "place a hold". We'll pull it for you!
A groundbreaking look at the science of learning: how it works both in the mind and in the classroom, which teaching techniques are most effective, and how schools should (and absolutely should not) use instructional technology. This is an essential resource for teachers, anyone interested in cutting-edge research into learning, and parents considering the educational alternatives available to their children.
Thank you for your wise insight, valuable perspective and willingness to share this vital information. Wishing you a happy, successful and fulfilling new year.
