Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a nonprofit educational organization that provides online lessons, videos, and articles about a variety of topics.
Artsy
Artsy is a great site to help you identify where artists have their works on display, which can lead you to the correct museum websites to search.
The Art Story
The Art Story provides incredible synopses of an artist's major accomplishments, notable works, and influences. It's also a great jumping off point to other resources by and about the artist.
Google Arts and Culture
Google Arts and Culture provides short synopses of artists' lives and their works.

The Met, found in New York City, is one of the most iconic art museums in the United States, and includes a wealth of art history and interpretation content.
Museum of Modern Art
MoMA's website provides through-provoking interpretations of modern art.
Art Institute of Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago provides a number of active learning resources for art history.
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
SFMOMA has a large collection of modern and contemporary art, so it will be particularly useful for this course.
Philadelphia Museum of Art
The Philadelphia Museum of Art includes a great collection of modern art and will often provide articles about their major works.
