LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that identifies academic journal articles and provides quick access to Bridgewater College library holdings across the web.
When searching through the web via a search engine like Google, if you land on a page with library-subscribed content, a LibKey Nomad icon will appear in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Once you click on it, the article will download as a PDF, or you will be given the option to request the material through Interlibrary Loan.
For more information about LibKey Nomad, watch the video below:
When searching the open web, if you land on a page, such as Wikipedia, that has academic journal article references available from the Forrer Learning Commons' collection, you can simply click the "Provided by Bridgewater College" button to go directly to the References section of the page. This will then provide options for download of academic journal articles.
When searching in PubMed, LibKey Nomad will provide access to full text as well as a link to the complete academic journal issue within BrowZine:
If you're doing research on the open web and stumble across a publisher website or are searching through a library database, you'll also be able to use Nomad to download the PDF of the academic resource.
When searching through a database like ScienceDirect, Nomad will appear as well. In the bottom-left corner, you'll see that there is a button that will take you to the access options through Bridgewater College:
