Library Services in Flory Hall

For 2018-2019, Library Services are located in Flory Hall, (403 East College St), the central administration building on campus. We are excited to begin the renovation of the Alexander Mack Memorial Library and our transformation into the John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons.

The majority of the print collections are currently inaccessible during this period of the construction project, but they should be available by the end of summer. The DVD collection, CD collection, some current periodicals, and our popular Browsing collection of bestselling authors, are all available for check-out. We also have a nice selection of newspapers to browse.

Limited Special Collections materials are also available in Flory. These include the Ripples yearbooks, student newspapers from around 1920 to 1999, the old and new Philomatheans, books on Bridgewater College history, and many of the College’s archival photographs. The remainder of its primary source collections have been placed in secure storage and will be unavailable during the entire construction project. Please remember that you need to make an appointment with Stephanie Gardner (sgardner@bridgewater.edu), in order to view Special Collections materials.

After Hours book drop-off is not currently available, so material will need to be returned inside during our open hours. The most convenience entrance to library services in on the West Side of Flory, closest to the Old Gym. Parking is available in the commuter/faculty/staff/guest lot beside the baseball fields.
